lightyears Kathryn Thomas Pollock-Krasner Foundation Inc. of New York Award The prestigious Pollock-Krasner Foundation, Inc. of New York has awarded a year long working grant to leading Bristol artist The Foundation was established in 1985 to assist individual working artists of merit through the generosity of Lee Krasner (1908-1984) a leading abstract expressionist painter and widow of Jackson Pollock.
In 2009, Kathryn Thomas will be holding a major solo exhibition of paintings celebrating her phenomenal 20-year career to date. light years will be held at Paintworks' superb 5000-sq.ft. gallery space at Bath Road , Bristol , BS4 3EH .
Kathryn is an internationally collected artist whose work has been sold around the world to both private and corporate buyers as well as many notable celebrities. A Limited Edition full colour book and commissioned soundtrack cd by the talented musician Simon Whetham will also be published to accompany the exhibition.
